Photo 1: This baritone, for a school in Antrim, came in with an awkward dent in the third valve tube; it was deep enough to affect the airflow.

Photo 2: I removed the valve piston and stabilised the inside of the valve casing to stop any movement of the tube itself.  There's always a danger of pushing the tube into the valve while fixing a dent like this, which would stop the valve from working and necessitate a bigger repair (photo 2).

Photos 3 & 4: Finally the job was complete and looking good!
